Malavika Nair: Exclusive Interview on Her Journey in the Biker Movie

How did your journey in Biker begin?
Malavika Nair: My journey in Biker began when I heard the story in April 2024, and I immediately loved it. Director Abhilash wrote a character with very fresh content. Biker is India’s first motocross film, and I am extremely excited for this movie. It's a high-adrenaline, high-octane film. The music is going to be fantastic.

What is your character like in the film?
Malavika Nair: I don’t want to reveal too much about my character. It serves as a bridge for the story. The role of a wife and husband in a sportsman's life is crucial, and the couple makes all decisions together. The story unfolds across three timelines, and my character evolves throughout the film. I played a role with a lot of scope for impactful performance.

How was it working with Sharwa?
Malavika Nair: In real life, both of us are introverts and don't talk much, but on-screen, we developed great chemistry. Sharwa is very spontaneous, and we interacted a lot during promotions.

Biker has been compared to F1, how would you describe the shooting process?
Malavika Nair: Shooting motocross sports was very challenging. The music will definitely give you a high. The film also has a lot of emotional family moments, especially the father-son relationship. Each character in the film has a strong arc.

Are there any dance numbers in the movie?
Malavika Nair: Yes, there is a song called "Pretty Baby." Shekar Master choreographed it beautifully, and I’m sure the audience will enjoy it.

Do you share any scenes with Rajasekhar?
Malavika Nair: Yes, I do. It was an amazing experience working with him. Even though he's so senior, he’s very approachable on set and listens to everyone, which is a great quality. He's a very kind person.

Tell us about the music in the film.
Malavika Nair: The music in this film is special. Jibran has done an incredible job with the background score. He has composed memorable soundtracks for each character, and the music will keep you energized.

What can you tell us about Director Abhilash Reddy?
Malavika Nair: Abhilash is a very clear-sighted director. He knows exactly what the story and characters need. He ensures the shoot is completed on time and is a great leader. Biker is very different from his past films.

Why do you select films so selectively?
Malavika Nair: I always look for new and unique characters. I want to play roles with different layers. If a role excites me, I will definitely take it up.

How do you choose your roles?
Malavika Nair: I always keep the audience in mind when selecting a character. We make films for them. Also, I ensure that I personally connect with the character. If the role feels new and different, I go for it. So far, I am very happy with my journey and look forward to doing more challenging roles.

In one word, how would you describe Biker?
Malavika Nair: “Thrilling.” I am sure the audience will enjoy the film, and it will inspire them. The movie will emotionally connect with young and family audiences alike.

Best of luck!
Malavika Nair: Thank you!
