Actor Esha Gupta has addressed the long-standing rumours about her alleged relationship with cricketer Hardik Pandya. In a candid interview with Siddharth Kannan on his YouTube channel, Gupta opened up about her bond with Pandya, setting the record straight regarding the claims.

Gupta revealed that she and Pandya were in touch for a few months, but they were never officially in a relationship. She said, “Yeah, for some time we were talking. I don’t think we were dating, but yeah, we were talking for a couple of months. We were at that ‘maybe it will happen, maybe it won’t’ stage.” The actor clarified that their interaction ended before they could even reach the dating stage, emphasizing that it was never an actual relationship.

She also discussed the reasons behind their not being in a relationship, attributing it to timing and compatibility issues. “There was no drama or bitterness. It just wasn’t meant to be,” Gupta added. The actor also addressed the 2019 controversy involving Pandya on Koffee with Karan, where he faced backlash. Gupta, who was among those who called out the misogynistic tone of the episode, mentioned that it didn’t affect her as she was no longer in touch with Pandya at the time.

Gupta, who was recently seen in Ek Badnaam Aashram 3 Part 2 on MX Player, continues to remain a prominent figure in the entertainment industry. She made her Bollywood debut in Jannat 2 (2012) and has since been a part of several successful projects. Her last theatrical release was One Day: Justice Delivered (2019), where she portrayed a pivotal role.
