Iran Rejects Trump’s Claim on Enriched Uranium Transfer, Confirms No Such Plan

Iran has denied reports suggesting any plans to transfer its enriched uranium, rejecting recent claims attributed to former US President Donald Trump regarding a possible agreement on the issue.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismael Baqaei said that Iran’s enriched uranium will not be transferred, describing the matter as sensitive and linked to national sovereignty. He reiterated Tehran’s position that such materials remain under Iran’s control and dismissed the claim that any understanding had been reached with the United States on the relocation of enriched uranium.

The remarks come amid ongoing diplomatic tensions surrounding Iran’s nuclear programme. While discussions and negotiations on related issues have taken place at various points, Iran has consistently maintained that its nuclear activities are a matter of national sovereignty. The latest exchange highlights continued differences between Tehran and Washington on nuclear-related matters, even as broader diplomatic engagement in the region continues.
