Kuwait Airport Attack: India Condemns Civilian Targeting

The Ministry of External Affairs said India has strongly urged all parties since the beginning of the West Asia conflict to avoid attacks on civilians and civilian infrastructure.

“We again call upon parties to cease such attacks,” the ministry said in the statement.

India also offered condolences to the family of the Indian national who died. The ministry said the Indian Embassy is extending all possible assistance to the injured and remains in close contact with local authorities in Kuwait.

Indian Embassy Assisting Injured Nationals In Kuwait

The attack has raised concern for Indian citizens living and working in Kuwait and across the Gulf region. Large Indian communities in West Asia often depend on embassy support during emergencies involving conflict, travel disruption or local security risks.

The MEA said Indian missions and posts across the region are on alert and continue to support Indian nationals.

For readers in the United States following West Asia developments, the incident adds to broader concerns about the safety of airports, transport hubs and civilian sites during regional hostilities.

What Officials Have Not Yet Confirmed

The available statement did not provide the name of the deceased Indian national, the exact number of Indian citizens injured, the time of the strike or the extent of damage at Kuwait International Airport.

It also did not provide details on whether flight operations were affected.

Indian officials said their immediate focus remains assisting the injured, coordinating with Kuwaiti authorities and supporting Indian nationals across the region.
